Boiled Eggs

Have a timer ready (or click on time below to start timer). Remember: a single-layer of eggs with at least an inch of water above them.

Ingredients

  • 5 Eggs
  • 1 t Salt

Instructions

  • Bring water and salt to a boil.
  • Gently add the eggs (slotted spoon is good here).
    Start timer.
    Soft: 6 minutes
    Medium: 8 minutes
    Hard: 10 minutes
  • Prepare an ice bath as the timer nears the end.
  • Remove eggs and place them in ice bath to stop the cooking.

Notes

For easier peeling, let them set in the fridge a good while and completely cool.
