Preheat oven to 400°F
Add parchment to a sheet pan
Whisk together all the dry ingredients
Stir in the cold butter chunks until the mix is crumbly
Stir in the fruit
In a separate bowl, whisk the milk, egg, and vanilla until frothy
Stir the liquids into the flour mix until well-mixed (it will be sticky)
Use 1/3 cup measure to drop scones onto parchement - let them sit 15 minutes
Sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon, or both (optional)
Bake 15 minutes
Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes
Serve warm with butter or clotted cream and jam
